The Gay & Lesbian Rights Supporters and Activists file was gathered through a nationwide postcard drive urging the United Nations General Assembly to recognize gay and lesbian rights worldwide.  

Supporters signed and mailed postcard forms that were distributed through gay and lesbian organizations, at bookstores, and as inserts in gay and lesbian publications.  Activists also requested and distributed postcards on a volunteer basis.

Because of their strong political interests, these gay rights supporters will be especially responsive to liberal and socially-conscious fundraising efforts.  Since men and women may be selected separately, mailers will have adequate scope to test specific offers to male and female oriented products and causes.

Whether in home décor, fashion, or entertainment, today’s gay community is setting trends that mainstream America follows.
